Question -
Why does the Yahoo! toolbar install when I updated or installed my Shockwave Web browser plug-in for online game play?
Answer -
Macromedia, the software publisher of the Shockwave browser plug-in, recently released version 10 of their free Shockwave multimedia plug-in for Web browsers. The Shockwave plug-in is required to play Kewlbox games online.
Yahoo! Toolbar is bundled with version 10 of the Shockwave plug-in and by default is installed on your computer when you install the Shockwave update. However, it is not required as part of the installation.
When the installer starts, you will see a screen like this.

If you do not want to install the toolbar, uncheck the checkbox next to Install Yahoo! Toolbar for Internet Explorer, I agree to the terms above. This will disable the installation of the toolbar.
If you installed the Yahoo! Toolbar by accident and do not want it on your computer, you can read this tech note on how to uninstall the Yahoo! Toolbar.
Please note that the Shockwave plug-in and the Yahoo! Toolbar or third party products not associated with Kewlbox. Kewlbox does not control any software that may or may not be bundled with any of the Shockwave installation programs.
